Google Drive is a service that gives you a large amount of free space (15 gigabits) and additional storage for a monthly fee. Every musician knows it is essential to back up your files! PROS Losing hours of work is devastating and attempting to recreate the material from scratch is extremely difficult. Having essential media files backed up in case of a computer crash is paramount to the protection of hours of work as a musician. Files are protected, easy to organize, and easy to access.

The overall ease of access and sharing on Google Drive makes work easier. This has been frustrating, as I now need to clear out an immense amount of space just to receive emails. Because there was no limit previously, my storage has been filled up completely since this update, and I am no longer able to send or receive emails, edit documents, sheets, or slides, or upload new files. After 15 gb, you run out of space on the cloud and are prompted to purchase additional space for a monthly fee.

Recently, Drive has changed from unlimited storage to 15 gb of free storage. There are regular, but not frequent, updates to the system and app, and it is quite efficient.

This is a long-standing, reputable system, and therefore does not have many, if any, bugs or kinks to work out.
Google idrive review license#
With the license my school has, there is a considerable amount of storage space available, and file and folder sharing are about as simple as they can be with just the touch of a button. We use Google Drive primarily for storage and collaboration, and it works extremely well for these purposes.
